OK Islamic extreemists, I am aware that the arab world is extreemly modern, that is not what i am getting at, and the views you are expressing only confirm my point.

A modern society would be one with no racial tension, and the answers you are giving are creating the tension, do you not see!

By 'bringing it on its self' do you mean is there an internal problem in the Islamic world?
If so, YES
Islam, the religion and the culture, are struggling with tenets of faith and the modern material world. This happens all the time to religions, in many different ways. The Protestant Reformation and its consequences ( the Huguenot wars, the Spanish Inquisition) is one example of this culture clash occurring in Western Civilization
The extremists should be fully aware they are 'hi-jacking' the perception of Islam, to the rest of the world and internally. Of Alqueda, Hamas, Hezbollah, Martyrs Brigade, etc. all share one similar agenda: to 'awaken' the rest of the Islamic world and bring them into their 'struggle'. This is akin to the few pro-life Christians who take it upon themselves to shoot doctors who provide abortions, or Timothy McVeigh blowing up the federal building in Oklahoma City, these personal sacrifices are meant to draw attention to a 'struggle' the rest of theirs peers do not perceive, or at least do not require these kind of extreme actions.
Islamic leadership is not central, orders cannot be issued by leaders and be expected to be obeyed. At best, the extremists can come to realize their actions have just the opposite intended affect: the mainstream becomes terrified, wakes up and rejects the extremists in word and in deed.

I think modernism, our Western civilization, has many of its own problems. Just look at the recent Amish school killings. They let a little of our modern technology into their world and trust the milkman and he ended up killing some of their children.

Islam is a loving religion. It's the extremists that have changed their religion to fit their own selfish needs and have given Islam a bad name. Just like in Chrisitianity. There are wonderful, faithful, devote Christians that do good for the world. Then their are sick people that molest children, steal, burn houses and such yet still claim to be Christian. You will find good and bad in all areas. The "bad" Muslims are the people that need to be targeted and are making is difficult for the good Muslims. I am a Catholic and what some Catholic priests have done to young boys over the years is awful and sometimes I am personal judged based on what these priests have done. I had nothing to do with it but because I am Catholic, people call me evil for believing in evil priests. This is what I see happening to many in the Muslim community.

I think many of today's modern ways are based on selfishness than good. So having Islam become "modern" isn't a good idea. Sometimes the ancient ways are better still.

Of course they're bringing just about all of it on themselves. Think of the statement that the pope made. It wasn't that bad. No other religion would have made anything of it if it was about their religion. The Muslims went nuts. They killed a number of people who had nothing at all to do with the pope.
The murdering that was done, was not condemned by any of the Muslim leaders, or even the people. Everything they do shows that they're still back in the seventh century. All this screaming, shooting in the air, burning of flags, dancing in the streets, crying and wailing was done way back in history, but it's not done by twenty-first century people except for the Muslims.

i'm on no account against definitely anybody, yet specific, islam is bringing it on itself, comparable to how the hitler regime extra itself against the jews, and that's certainly going to be yet another worldwide conflict- all worldwide wars have been realted to fanatism in direction of a definite faith

Perhaps we should all study the art of propaganda before considering questions of this nature. The news is full of "bad press" stories, which fuels the imaginations of those who do not look further than what they are told.
