I'm not French, I'm English..but I admire Zizou and his play..for me he was the greatest player (beside Roberto Baggio) in last 15 years..
And also great leader for France always..especially on this World Cup taking them to final..I'm so sorry he made that mistake but I guess I would do the same on his place..sometimes you can walk over provocateur sometimes you just can't..
Now Henry must take his place and try to lead France in same way he is leader of Arsenal..as that was great mark of Zizou, nevermind he was playing for France or some club he was always a leader..France deserved to win World Cup..they were the best team there..

He's a great player and totally a legend. I'm a singaporean. I find that those italian's are childish. They did won the world cup and yet still criticising zidane. They can't accept the fact that matarazzi did insult zidane. And the worst of all. FRANCE WON ITALY DURING THE EURO 2008 QUALIFIERS WHICH THOSE ITALIANS HAD TOTALLY FORGOTTEN!!! At least france won them during the world cup 1998. And they won them again during the euro 2000. Which shows that france are real champions. Unlike Italy. Who just won in the world cup and lost in the euro 2008. And yet they still have the face to criticise france. Here's a clip of zidane.

I have been a fan of Zidane's for years, but he made a foolish mistake when ending his career with a headbutt. He is such a talented guy and played football for so many years on such an amazing level, it was a shame to see him reduced in this manner. I know he has had "bouts of temper" where he headbutted someone or acted out of temper before, but the last game of his career?? So sad. Otherwise though, he seems to be a great guy.

One of the greatest players of all time. He's not only a terrific player, he's also a gentleman. The headbutting incident happened b/c he was pushed too far. Any decent person has a limitation point after which they blow up. It's too bad he didn't ignore the stupid idiot. They could have won with him in the game. It was planned by the Italian team and unfortunately they were able to push his buttons and get him to hurt his own chance at winning.
Based on all accounts, even by compatitors, he's a gentle and well mannered man.

A wonderful player. He had the ability to do something out of nothing. I saw him do things nobody else did before. To me, he is third all time, behind only Maradona and the duch player. I can't remember the name right now.
