It's been used firstly by a carton with Bugs and Daffy where they meet the Abominable Snowman. The Snowman wanted Daffy, but then Bugs sa Bugs later took him to the beach where he would, not surprisingly, melt. The same line has been used or rewrote its use in other future cartoons. Mostly those under Warner Brothers.

A Foghorn-Leghorn cartoon doing an "Of Mice and Men" episode.
Or it might have been Bugs Bunny & Daffy Duck when they went up the beanstalk and Bugs got the giant to adopt Daffy.

It was where Bugs Bunny was adopted as a pet and he played all sorts of silly tricks on him but in the end let him do it.
The same character has also appeared in other cartoons and I can hear his voice now! No idea what his name is though, sorry.

can't remember the name but it was a rich dog who lived in a mansion and the episode starts with the dog talking about how he had lots of "little friends" but they all died. and he didn't know why. then he adopts this squirrel and at the end of the episode he ends killing it by mistake, like all his previous pets. it was a warner brothers cartoon...

I know it's from Of Mice and Men but I haven't seen it in a cartoon. I used to say that to my ex husband when he was waffling rubbish at me, he hated it!
