I've had a lot of miscarriages in the past and I've just found out I'm pregnant again (yipee). I'm managing not to panic to much, but as I've heard is normal, I get a lot of aches and pains in my abdomen, nothing major (or I would go see my doctor). I know it can be the womb streching, ligaments stretching etc. But how do I know if its a pain I should really be worried about, or is it only if I start bleeding along with the pain?
I'm fairly hopeful this time as I'm experiencing morning sickness which I never had with any of the miscarriages, so I'm hoping thats a good sign!!!!

I can totally relate to you and how you are feeling. I had a miscarriage in January, and now am 13 weeks pregnant. Every time I feel sick, have a cramp, anything, I am scared to death that it is going to happen again.
My dr. did an internal ultrasound at 6 weeks and was able to see a heartbeat. the chance of miscarriage after seeing a heartbeat is less than 2%. Maybe you should ask your doc about that to help put your mind at ease!
Good luck, I know how you feel!!

it's only natural that you are worried but try and relax. I had period like pain with both my boys and everything was fine but it is a bit scary at the time. I even had a little spot bleeding with my second pregnancy. Dont know where you are from but in my area if you have had a few miscarriages the doctor sends you for more scans than normal to check if everything is ok, not sure if that is available to you. Good luck, hope everything goes ok.

Hi. My first pregnancy, I had almost no morning sickness at all, and I lost my baby at 5 months to Trisomy 18. This pregnancy, I am 4 months, and I was as sick as dog for the first 3 months. I had chromosome testing, and my baby is very healthy this time around. Sounds like you're going to have a happy, healthy baby this time! Hang in there...I went through the scary uterus stretching and growing pains too. As long as there is no bleeding, you should be on your way! Just remember, if you're ever worried, call the Dr.....that's what they're there for! Congrats, and good luck!

As a woman with history myself of recurrent miscarriage who went on to have 2 successful pregnancies, I can say that studies show morning sickness is very significant for a successful pregnancy this time.

i think I drove my doc crazy going on a weekly schedule for visits starting in the first trimester.

Your fears are perfectly normal. Was any testing done re the miscarriages? ARE YOU doing treatments based on this>

as long as there is no bleeding or cramping then its normal. Trust me, I know about walking on egg shells... after my miscarriage years ago, I had gotten preg with my daughter, and I was SO scared something would happen. Every ache and pain I would wince, worried something bad was about to happen.

I know its easier said than done, but relax, and try to enjoy the preg. Whatever happens is going to happen. I wish you the best!

Yes the morning sickness is good. Just try to be patient, don't lift anything heavy, and eat right. If it is meant to be, then it will happen. Best wishes and feel well!

Good luck to you, unfortunately, i cannot give you an answer other than I would remain in close contact with my physician and keep up on everything. Pray, and I will keep you in my prayers. Congratulations, I hope all goes well for you.

Firstly, Do Not Panic, Stress is more harmfull than any of the above at this point.

Also it is completely normal for you to have such pains, though if they worsen please consult your doctor, so they can run some tests.

Congrats on the pregnancy :o)
