You most probably need to reinstall your graphic adapter drivers. What you could try is uninstalling your present driver by clicking on Start (bottom left of the desktop) and choosing Control Panel.
Make sure you're in Classic View (top left of the screen) and double-clicking on System. Choose Device Manager (on the Hardware Manager tab) and move down to Display adapters.
Click on the + sign to the left of where it says Display adapters, then right click on the name of the graphics adapter and select uninstall. Click on OK, and then reboot your computer. Windows should then pick up your graphics adapter and ask you to select drivers ... or you could opt for Windows to locate them for you. You could either opt to find them on your CD-ROM (The drivers disk that should have come with your computer) or opt to point to the Windows folder already installed on your harddrive ... or you could opt to download drivers from the IBM support page. (Given below.)
The following link takes you to the IBM support page for graphics drivers for your model (IBM T22) for Windows95/98/Me.
Before you install them, however, make sure that your graphics adapter is an S3 SavageIX8. You can do this by clicking on Start (bottom left hand side of the screen), and selecting Control Panel.
Change the view (top left of the screen) to Classic View, and double-click on Display. Click the Settings tab, and it should display the name of your graphics adapter.
If I haven't explained it clearly enough, do send me an email, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
