The republican party hates the poor because they are a living example of the fact that everything the GOP espouses is a lie. Their rhetoric that anyone can make it in this country if they are willing to work hard is simply not true. Hard work will not make your rich. It may put food on the table if you have a skill set companies are willing to pay for but you will never get rich working for wages. The poor are also a very real example of the fact that capitalism isn't fair. Those that have the capital or the connections will prosper the rest will survive around the margins one or two pay checks away from the street. While the poor are one minor catastrophe away from total destruction. While the right may call the poor moochers or lazy or lucky duckeys because they don't make enough to pay taxes they know that in a very real sense they are at least marginally responsible for their misery because many of the rich got that way because they or their ancestor exploited the labor of others. In short the rich hate the poor because they are a reminder of their very real guilt for gaming the system by getting their bought and paid for representatives to enact policies that benefit them at the expense and sometimes the lives of everybody else.

The position most Republicans take is "blame the victim". They view people in poverty have only themselves to blame to be in this situation. Republicans will lead you to believe that everyone who is poor takes advantage of the system. The truth is while there are some people who take advantage, many do not. Also there is what is called the working poor where people are working in jobs and cannot afford to live with the basic necessities.
Republicans never address the people that can't afford health insurance, are laid off or become disabled and that changes their fate to being poor (it does not fit in their black and white world).
They will fight furiously not to raise the minimum wage because they claim the economy will collapse, vote themselves raises and give huge tax breaks to the wealthy and borrow money from China.
It is a free country, you are allowed to have an opinion and the good news is if your over 18 you are allowed to vote.

Conservatives dont hate the poor or atleast I dont, but is it fair to lump everyone together? I mean it would be unfair for me to say all liberals are against life cause they all believe in abortion. Well how stupid is that when not all liberals do believe in abortion? But what you are confusing is the fact that we have alot of people in this country on welfare when they do not need to be. Welfare when created was not meant to be a way of life it was supposed to be a hand up not a hand out. That is where conservatives liberals differ. We want to see people eventually working and improving themselves not becoming selfish and lazy living off their fellow citizens. The point is that while there are those who need it til they can get back on their feet(which is what it was created for) there are those who are abusing it.

yes it is wrong to hate the poor, god says that we suppose to love everybody. But that being said, what if the conservatives lost everything tomorrow? then what, would I have right to hate them? They would be highly sad if that were to happen. The bottom line is everyone suppose to love and even help the poor.

Conservatives DO NOT hate the poor. Do you know how many Cons are poor, or at least no where near rich? I KNOW I am NOT.
I am a Con, I guess that means I hate myself, huh?

"some askers" are then bigots them selves. The same would be said if the statement was about liberals...Its simply hate speech and blanket statements like this are usually an indication of Hate on behalf of those who suggest it

Conservatives wants every poor person to have the opportunity to have a job and improve his life.
Liberals consider being asked to go to work as hatred for them.
Offering a liberal a job is an insult to them.

Well, they don't all hate the poor, some are just too foolish to realize that feeding the rich and feeding the poor are two very different things. Unless, that is, you trust the rich to feed the poor, which never ever happens (unless you count Bill Gates and Warren Buffet)

that is the biggest misconception of what conservatives are.
if you haven't noticed, liberals love to call names and place labels on people who disagree with their ideals. the truth is conservatives don't "hate" the poor, they simply go by the concept of "give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day, teach him how to fish, he'll eat everyday".
liberals love the idea of just giving to the poor because it is basically a push towards socialism. they want to make as many people as possible dependent on the government giving them further control of the masses. and like most hardcore leftists who control the media and communication industry, they try to instill "hate" in anyone who disagrees with their socialist policies.
to be honest, the word "liberal" is a misnomer for today's "liberals'. they are more like socialist anarchists.

No, it is not. Conservatives don't hate the poor. Most of us detest the social welfare system that pays mothers to have babies and not work.
