The best approach to this one is .....don't engage the offensive person in conversation or activity that might include this person in your realm of friends. Excluding the person will eliminate the person having a reason to come to your home. Screen your phone calls/ don't respond to missed calls or voice messages from this person.
By eliminating communications and contact with this person you will have alienated all reasons for this person to converse or contact you!

Find out what offends them - eg overt sexuality, different types of sexuality, religion, politics? Then leave subtle signs lying around - eg political party flyers in support of the party they do not support. Being socially unacceptable is a good one - you could take them into your confidence about how you don;t like washing/using the bathroom, or how you would like to explore polygamy more, and would they be interested in joining you and your partner on an exploratory journey of togetherness?

i was in that predicament a while back. i tried to subtly tell someone that i needed my space , i tried to look busy washing the outside walls of the house when i knew she was going to pop in -again. after weeks of anguish , i decided there was no nice way ,as she could not be so dumb as not to get the hints. so i explained nicely that i enjoy company , but that i really need my space back ,as i had begun changing my routine and i felt tied down.she would still try her luck now and again ,by arriving with some help she needed,so i was unlikely to turn her away. but after a week or two she got the message,as i did not back down.
your problem is different in that you never want the person to come back ,so you will need to be brutal. people who over step the welcome mat ,are aware that they are doing it, so pussyfooting around won't help. good luck and i hope it doesn't affect the rest of your life , as i know it can be irritating.

Fart, pick your bum, then pick your nose, scratch your nether regions..and a few loud belches don't go amiss either-leave the tea bag in the cup, become a little "absentminded",i.e.get up in the midst of a conversation and do something outrageous or out of the ordinary, start laughing in mid conversation-if you know of an insect,or animal they dont like, then fill the house with them till they have gone-alternatively ,tell them straight out-"i don't want to offend you,but fcuk off out my house, and don't come back."I am sure there are many way's-you choose!

just tell them that your home is not a drop in center for the bored and useless and your tired of having people there coz they got nothing better to do....be straight, they will get the message if you are upfront about the situation....if they want to call...ask them to phone first...leave you phone on answer machine, let the phone take the call...that way, they will think your out...and you will know who's calling, thats what i do...if i dont want someone there i just dont answer the phone, uness i want company...dont let people use your home as a refuge for the day....better still go round to their place and sit there all day till they get fed up....then they will know how you feel

No subtlety involved. Tell them to get the f*** out and never come back, if they don't call the police. That's all the sublety they need if you want them away from your house bad enough.

I would explain to the person in question that you are very busy and could they phone you before coming round to your house uninvited. Double effect. You can ignore the phone and they will eventually get the message. AND ALSO YOU HAVE YOUR PRIVACY BACK!

Just start telling unfunny racist/sexist/homophobic jokes and then kill yourself laughing at them at the top of your voice, then you could invade their personal space a lot. Rub your crotch a bit (without explanation) stare right through them when they speak and then say sorry what was that? I guarantee they will never come back!!!!!

Tell them that the dog/smoke - insert the appropriate smell - smell they leave behind is becoming increasingly difficult to eradicate.
Ask them what they use in their own house to get rid of the smell.
Did it once and it worked.

If you never want them to come back why bother being subtle.
Just give it to them full on,be as offensive as you can (without endangering your life!) and then show them the door quickly.
Too offensive and then relocation might be advisable
