Yes, that is an excellent deal. That is a bit cheaper than NewEgg.com where I always get great bargains.
That's a good model.
Now, when you get it. If you plan to use it for Windows XP only (not even Windows 2000), then consider reformatting it to use NTFS. You see, it comes preformatted for any computer, using Fat32. But if you reformat it to NTFS, you will get much better performance. But it will not work with Windows 95/98/ME or Machintosh after that. You can get it to work with Windows 2000, after you HUNT DOWN that fix at the Microsoft website. The FIX makes it so it can work with hard drives larger than 137GB.
I recently bought TWO 400GB models of the Western Digital My Book. Since I was using them for Windows 2003 Server, I did reformat for NTFS and they work totally awesome.
Good luck

hi this may be somewhat beside the point possibly, yet you may improve a workstation to 512 Gb which includes your kind yet that's the exciting. i latterly took a defunct printer & shredder to the interior sight tip. There, in the pc kit cage have been 4 "old" table-tops. via a phillips screwdriver and approximately 10 minutes, i stumbled on 4 confusing drives in the middle totalling over 2Terabyte, or 2000 Gb those at the instant are plugged in via a miles less costly USB hub, giving an E, F, G & H force, all configured ok, I peeped at some thrilling very own letters, being nosy, then wiped all of them in accordance to Norton Governement wiping application I definitely have extra difficult force reminiscence than i'm going to ever use. finished value approximately £20 additionally, a salient lesson. Do people not understand that in basic terms chucking out an old gadget is the comparable as putting all your individual information in a bypass ? Oh, i stumbled on some costly to purchase video games besides as an advantage ! Bob

if u dont need a very protable one, get a 3.5" one. cheapest and best performance. i recommend samsung for their performance. but you could consider hitachi which is quiet and extremely fast. or seagate because they have 5 yr warranty as compared to 3 yrs for other brands.
but if you are looking for a 2.5" hardisk, you should go with toshiba or hitachi.
dont get western digital

I would consider buying an internal disk drive and a USB box that is competiable to the drive (ISE od SATA). That way is cheaper.
