If you have complete faith & trust in your partner then there should be no problem with it. Getting away from one another and spending time with some friends is really a good thing for a relationship. It lets the two of you know that you are not having doubts about one another, and it makes your relationship with each other stronger. But if one of you are OK with it and the other one is not then that is showing lack of trust in the other one, and it is also showing a lack of confidence not only in your partner, but also your self as well.

First you must have trust in a relationship. If your relationship is a committed one where you both agree to only dealing with each other than you both should trust each other to follow thru on the committment. If the committment is breached then you must deal with that at that time, but you should not accuse or try to catch your partner cheating. Because you are saying I dont trust you. If you dont trust him why are you with him? Partners should have time together and time alone with other friends possibly co-workers. Time apart makes for better time together
