Any sources of production statistics? I'm having an arguement with a friend. I don't think anyone was making TV's in the U.S. That dumping had wiped outthe industry. Anyone know where I can find numbers?

I'd really like a citeable source. I can't just say none are produced here (He doesn't believe that) I need to SHOW him none are produced here.

Televisions are no longer made in the United States, not even Curtis Mathis, the company that used to pride itself on being 100% American made. For information, look no further than your local electronics store. Just head on down there with your friend and start looking at the boxes of all the brands. You'll mostly see "Made in China", but also a couple of Malaysian and Thailand made systems. Even Mexico manufactures televisions, yet, not one will be from the USA.

Televisions are no longer "manufactured" they are assembled. There are assembly plants all over the world, including the US. The link will take you to the information.
