I agree, the beige draw-string trousers, the flowery dresses with collars and belts in the middle, the extra large brown handbags, the trousers that go half way up their chests, the teflon flammable fabrics..... Littlewoods always used to be a great place for old people's clothes including those horrible short sleeved woolen tops in peach with the high necks and holes deliberately put around the chest area. Oooh and diamond patterened brown cardigans with the big zip up the front (it's so they can hide the pic n mix down them). M&S have some old people's clothes but I think mainly they just kept them from 1945 or whatever because in war-time they made fabrics to last forever (unfortunately).

I note that you couldn't take the trouble to spell even your first word correctly.
Secondly, you've insulted everybody over the age of about 50 by saying that they all wear (another of your mis-spellings!) the same sort of clothes - are we to assume that the men wear grey coats and the women brown trousers or is that something else you've not got quite right?
One day, YOU'LL find yourself getting on a bit, and you might just find that you no longer want to dress in order to catch as many members of the opposite sex as is humanly possible, and that, just for once, you want to dress to please yourself, and not merely to impress others. You might find it highly amusing to take the piss out of older people right now, but I bet they're a damn site more comfortable - and happy - in their grey jackets and brown trousers than you are in some silly looking half-skirts and tee-shirts. Oh, and of course, you won't want to dress like THEM because being in Bristol, you're at the very epicentre of high fashion, aren't you!
Next time, don't be so bloody cheeky about people like yours and my parents, thank you.

Well I went to Eastbourne for the day this year. There is a department store there, I walked in and saw all the gear older people would wear, it was really odd. It has a high population of oaps there, so I suppose they need to cater for them. However, when Im old and grey I wont be donning the same stuff!

2nd hand shops stock a good range & because they in their day were made good they last longer than the flimsy rubbish that appears on show these days at extortionate prices.I buy clothes to keep warm not worry about whether it`s the latest thing to hit the high street & with some imagination things can be altered accordingly.Oh! by the way Less of the old!!

There's a shop in Worthing called Jollimans, been about forever. It is a gentlemans outfitters and specialises in old man trousers. Don't know if you have noticed them but they ride very high on the gentleman. I suppose it's like trees the higher the waistband the older the bloke!

They've had them for 40 years! Most of those stores have probably gone out of business already. They also shop the resale shops and donation stores. Clothes are clothes, it's the person who matters. Get to know an old person and it will be the most wonderful experience that you will cherish all your life...

have you ever seen those adds in magazines of 'fashionable' clothing for the mature woman/man but bein modelled by a 25yr old? thats where. they always go up to ridiculous sizes and are the most unflattering, grotesque clothes ever and somehow even old ppl manage to read the small print and order them. they should be banned (i only know cos thats where my nan gets her clothes)
