sounds like she is not bothered about the child, a mother should get him dressed and ready to go to school or child minders. you dont find any child minders that do that, not in a million years, and you dont go and pick him up she is suppose to drop him off. It seems like she is takin the mick out of you. If you want to get out of doing child minding without offending her. im assuming your are not qualified as you wouldnt be working for such little money. just tell her that you have had a knock at the door asking for your registered number for being a child minder, you said you didnt have one and they have given you a warning not to look after children untill you are approved and are registered. if you are registered then you are working for buttons and she is 100% taking you for a ride. hope this helps

You should not have to get him out of bed! If she wants you to look after him she should have him up and breakfasted and dressed ready for you to take him? Why is she still in bed when you get there? Do you think she has postnatal depression because it seems like she has little interest in the poor mite? Try talking to her and see how she feels about her son, she may need to see a doctor.

The only problem I can see is with the lack of punctuation in your question. Sorry, not being picky, but I've had to read it 4 or 5 times to get it to make real sense ....and i figure, if you want Help, then you encourage reading, not discourage it.

I can't see the problem that others see ...and if you are Ok with things as they are, as long as there aren't unwelcome innuendos or overtures being made to you, then fine.

A 'private maternity nurse' acquaintance tells me that ...what you describe is no different from her experiences.

Best of luck.
Sash.

Is your friend clinically depressed? She might not be able to get out of bed if she is in this situation.
Try talking to her about how she is feeling. If she is badly depressed she should, if not already, go and see her GP as a first port of call and then if needed she could be referred to someone who would help her even more.
It seems strange to me that she is paying all this money for you to care for her child. there must be a reason behind it I feel. You are a good friend!

Did you discuss what looking after him involved? It does seem rather odd as you don't ask the nursery to come and get the child ready in the morning do you. £450 a month is also a bit of a joke.

Is her husband /boyfriend in bed with her when you call
if he is ..I can see her point ..but me being a fella I would say it's cool ..I think maybe a threesome wow..is that how you are thinking maybe..don't know but wouldn't it be cool..
on the other hand if her fella is not involved ..i think she is taking the piss..tell her to get up from her *** and get the baby ready for collection..

i suppose its ok for what you do but how long do you have the baby for all day?

yeh i would expect the baby to be ready for you to take in the morning, it is a bit of a piss take.

er why is she in bed when you go and pick the baby up???,what a lazy friend you have there????????£450 pm is good, maybe suggest to your so called lazy mate that if she does'nt like you going in her room, then why does'nt she bring him round to you instead.....personally if that was my mate i would tell her to to get the baby ready, and that she gets out of bed.
Good luck
