Take the Homeopathic Remedy NUX VOMICA 30 half hour before going to bed and you will get over the habit of sleeping pills and would be able to go to sleep without any medcine after a few days of regular use. Totally free of side effects or complications. Just stop taking it when you start to go to sleep naturally.

Don't ever start taking them, they just make you feel groggy the next day, then you need uppers like caffeine. Try doing as much activity as possible, if you aren't a really activer person go for short walks each day, if you're a very active person do more intense work outs. Get your body tired, you'll sleep better if you exercise. Also avoid caffeine 6+ hours before going to bed, that means all coffee, teas, certain pops/sodas, and chocolate, also avoid sugar. The combination of cutting out caffeine 6 hours before bed and getting your body tired with exercise will make a huge difference, plus as an added bonus you'll feel better too.

If they are prescribed pills, ask your doctor or pharmacist. If you have been using them nightly for a long time, you could have a few sleepless nights when you stop; or maybe not. This is what happened to a friend of mine, but afterward he was fine.
Some people report good results taking the homeopathic remedy "Calms Forte" instead of sleeping pills. There are no negative effects, you can get them at a regular drug store.

Since it is pretty well established... insomnia is caused by the over activity of the mind and ones inability to make it cease. If this be so, then there is the equal ability to learn to turn it off.

The tendency is usually toward the negative thoughts, which in turn maximize the imagination to exaggerate the problem.

If you are serious about wanting to learn how to overcome this weakness, contact me.

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.

try not to take pharmasutiacals. (if you r)
Try Valerian root or 3mg of Malatonin. Anything taken long term will evelop a dependancy. Exercise during the day and don't eat late. Good luck.
