Unscrew the plug on the side of the transmission about midway of the case. A small amount of gear oil should come out. If not, place your finger in the hole and point the tip downwards to see if you are able to detect a level. Fill the transmission with the proper type of gear oil through this same hole until it just starts to run out and replace the plug.

There should be a plug about midway up on the side of the transmission that has a 3 eights inch square hole in it. Use a 3 eights ratchet and unscrew it. There might be a little oil that flows out or you may have to stick your little finger in the hole. If you can touch it with your little finger the level is OK and if not squirt some in until you can touch it or it comes out of the hole. same thing goes for the rear end if you have rear wheel drive.

Yamster mechanics like to know what were working on! Year make model and miles driven. Hey they way we can even tell what size wrench that removes the fill plug and give you a few precautions. Like fill only when the car is level. Place the car on four stands ect.

get a handbook on your motor vehicle at your community factors shop. maximum guy. trans. could desire to be checked by way of removing a plug from the portion of the trans. case (under the automobile) if grease runs out it somewhat is finished, if no longer upload some. yet you will could desire to appreciate which type to apply . I easily have found it plenty much less confusing to take my motor vehicle to a rapid lube shop for an entire oil & lube job. it somewhat is a competent theory to make certain your maintenence schedule for while to alter fluids in engine, trans, radiator and so on. and so on. your handbook supply you all this records. continually make advantageous your veh. is on as on the factor of point floor as possible, while checking your fluids, this helps supply a correct reading. except you're immediately susceptible and understand what you're doing. i strongly advise which you employ a lube shop, as intense harm can bring about case you do no longer understand what you're doing!!!!
