Fleas are not so small that you can't see them. They are big enough to see...and big enough to feel when they bite.

Perhaps you have small fleas where you live. When I have been bitten by a flea I have felt it!!

I don't think it's really the bite that we feel. When they bite us there is a substance in their saliva that keeps our blood from clotting right away so they can drink more of it, I think that's what causes the sting and the itch.

Because like all bites they create a reaction, which usually causes an itch.
