Coil wire. I have seen 4.3 liter engine that did everything but idle with a bad burnt out coil wire. Cheep give it a try. Then you might latter try a new set of plug wires.

4.3L v6 all the answers u have received except mass air meter are good answers, however simple common problem is igniton module under the rotor in the distributor, it also causes a misfire and erratic idle but start by checking all vacuum lines check fuel pressure should be around 15 psi min spec is 12psi replace fuel filter if at min spec or just below also pour a couple bottles of heat in the fuel tank heat is an ethanol alcohol it forces water in fuel to evaporate and WILL NOT HARM FUEL SYSTEM despite what others MIGHT THINK.

Check for water in the inline fuel filter. Sometimes only a fast idle will get usuable fuel past the water in the filter.

Check fuel pump pressure. Delco pumps can go bad at about 60k or if you let the gas tank run all the way dry.

Check for vacuum leaks, Collapsed, broken or disconnected vacuum hoses. Also check for EGR valve being stuck open. Take a wrench or something small and tap on the EGR to unstick it. Check for low fuel pressure, that will also cause an erratic idle and stalling. Hope this helps.
