Gas was at it's lowest in 1996 ( under Clinton )
Atlanta,GA $.65 a gallon
Dayton,OH $ .79 a gallon
Detroit,MI $ . 89 a gallon
I remember seeing these prices while traveling that year.
They had not been that low since the early 70's if I remember correctly.
Gas was approx. $1.33 per gallon when Clinton left office which wasn't too much higher than when he came into office.

Holy crap.... are you guys serious?!?!?!?!? By "low" he was referring to the amount of gas readily available, not the price of it.
It takes refineries to turn raw oil into gasoline, and because there have been no new refineries built in the U.S. in decades, the volume of oil being transformed into gasoline has become "low(er)", even though the demand for gasoline has risen or become higher.
If you are looking for a U.S. President to blame for the gasoline prices, maybe you should take a long hard look at Mr. Clinton. It was Clinton who was in office when the prices of gasoline became deregulated due to Exxon and Mobil forming a monopoly on the gasoline market. Check the profits of of Exxon/ Mobil since the merger. I am sure you will see a steady increase each year since then. It would have done the same even had Al Gore become President.
Rather than just blindly following the Michael Moore-ites of the world, you should do some thinking on your own.
"... gas is at an all time low".... how could you people even think that he was talking about price.... ahhhhhhh, ignorance is bliss I do suppose.

I can remember living in Las Cruces, NM when Clinton was president and paying 98 cents per gallon for gas. I do remember traveling at one point and gas prices peaked at a pretty high cost, but that was short lived and quickly resolved. We can't say the same about the prices under the current administration now can we?

He (Bush) is a liar and a murderer and gas prices are so trivial after the towers but I guess the oil is the reason he lied to get us into the war so his pals could go over and steal the oil the towers was to make us mad enough to let them do it. He thought he was so far above the law we the people know the truth and we are not going to stop until he is impeached and tried for murder.

Three cheers for Capt. Jeep. I love to see the blinded Bush haters made complete fools... I'm not a big fan of Bush myself, but you should do a bit of research before jumping on any bandwagon.

LMMFAO!!!! How on earth can you beat 98 cents a gallon?! I've seen it that low with Clinton in office. Since W has been in office, I haven't seen gas prices under $2!
Thanks for the laugh! I really needed that! :D

When I was in college I paid 25 cents a gallon for gas. Isn't that what the price still is in Saudi Arabia and in Iran?
