here's an idea! when I bend my body backward, my body is still straight. I want it to curve.

Try something more systematic than back bends. Yoga and Pilates are particularly good for what you want.

The problem you describe is not necessarily a matter of flexibility. It is also a matter of how srong your torso is, believe it or not. When your abdominals are not strong your body refuses to bend because it feels unsafe. Pilates will increase the strength without giving you big muscles, it will make you stand up straighter and taller and you'll become more graceful. You can probably check out a DVD with Pilates for Beginners from your local library.

If you want your body to flex gracefully, then you have to train it to do that, its not easy, but practice makes perfect. Try doing a back hand stand and see what happens from that. good luck

You can try to curve your back by doing bridges and holding them for one minute every day. Each day try to move your hands closer to your feet and eventually your back will become more flexible. Hope this helps!
