There is more to healthy weight than BMI. It's doesn't take into factor bone structure (small frame, medium frame, large frame), muscle mass, or other things that can make a difference. The recommended weight for 5'3", for different body frames:
Small Frame: 111 - 124 lbs
Medium Frame: 121 - 135 lbs
Large Frame: 131 - 147 lbs
To determine your frame size, measure your elbow width when it's bent.

You are in a healthy weight rage for your height. You sister may be thinner, even though she's taller, because she has a smaller frame, or she may even be underweight. You can never compare your body to another person's, even a twin. Be healthy; it's more important than being skinny.

Your Body Mass Index is a good way of seeing if you are the right weight for your height and weight.
The recommended index scores are;
Underweight BMI less than 18.5
Ideal BMI 18.5-25
Overweight BMI 25-30
Obese - should lose weight BMI 30-40
Very obese - lose weight now BMI greater than 40
Some people say that BMI is not a good measure as muscle weighs more than fat, so can disrupt the BMI index score, however I have been told this only becomes a factor when you’re are very muscular trained athlete.
The BBC website has calculations in both metric and imperial measurements. Try these;

Your BMI calculates to 24.4 and thus in the normal range; neither underweight nor overweight. So yes, that is a good weight.
NOTE: For people that aren't familiar with "stone" in weight, it equates to 14 pounds or 6.350 kilograms. In this case, the asker weighs 138 pounds. 14 lbs. x 9 stone = 126 lbs. + 12 lbs. = 138 lbs.
All the best!

It's not overweight, but it's right at the higer end of the healthy weight range. But to be honest, weight doesn't really give the whole picture. What size frame do you have, do you have a lot of muscle, if you carry most of the weight on your hips and thighs, as opposed to around the middle, you probably shouldn't worry. HTH : )

Don't worry your twin may be taller than you, but you probably have a stronger bone structure, that may be why you are a little shorter, sounds to me like your twin could do with a few more pounds.

You sound ok to me, I'm 5'2 and weigh the same as you now, but I've been down to 8 and a half stone b4. I looked way too skinny, it wasn't nice.

Your bmi is normal no need to get any skinnier, your twin is on the skinny side going by her bmi she could put on a few pounds to be a healthier weight.
