I talked to the manager and he seems like he doesn't want to help. What is the best way to get rid of them. We have drains that are constantly full of water. Tablets? Sprays for the grass?? Please help.. I'm itchy all over and so are my dogs.

pour a little vegetable oil into the drains, enough to make a thin film over the water. that will kill the larvae but suffocating them. there are ultrasonic bug chasers for large areas that have worked for me. then there is the bug repellent campers use(and can be used on the dogs)

I personally think that it's time to bring in the exterminators and bug spray!!! you should have the exterminators come at least once a week. And i know mosquitoes can come in and make nest or whatever so toward the next week you should buy bug spray and spray like crazy then live the room for a couple of minutes at least 10 min. Then go back in and sleep. IF you don't have enough money to buy for the exterminator then you can do it yourself just buy at least 2-4 cans of spray...depends on how bad the mosquitoes are!

GOOD LUCK! (I had the same problem but know it's over and you can do the same)

i live in a mosquito infested country so i know the answers given are all very good specially if you pick through them and use the tips together to solve your problem.

Apart from citronella candles which you can also use outside, you can also use euchalyptus and lemon grass scents. Mosquitos also hate them. Apart from your drains make sure you don't have stagnant water in your premesis.
Mosquitos can breed in the smallest amount of water like in house plants.

A basil plant keeps them away, they don´t like the smell. However if you want something more effective, you can buy a scent gadget you plug in and you´ll never see them again. I don´t know what they´re called but you can get them a a big supermarket, they last a month. They really work even if the windows are left open. Everybody has them in Southern Europe where mosquitoes are really abundant.

Try burning citronella candles, they should keep them out of your house. If the problem is when you are outside there's not much you can do except wear a mosquito repellant. You might want to check your dogs for fleas too, just incase!

Mosquitoes become a nuisance when they enter homes. You can get rid of mosquitoes by using pest control.

if the apartment has wood windows there might not be much (except for basil plants) to do.

mosquitoes breed in the wood of the window because the wood windows don't have anywhere for the water to go so it seeps into the wood and rots it from way down deep (then the mosquitoes live and breed).

I suggest that you get the water off the drains. Mosquitoes breed in places where water is still. Also, I think that you should keep you environment clean

I used to have the same problem...I started putting out a bird feeder full of a variety of seeds . Once the birds starting flocking around my back door, the mosquitoes disappeared.

If you don't have a good medicated cream you can use vinegar, just dab some on the bite and it will kill the itch, ice cubes are good to they take the heat out of the bite. Trying not to scratch is really hard but you have to try and not do it as you don't want them getting infected. I have also sat with a bag of frozen veg on my feet just to cool the itch down. (did throw the bag out when finished, it was all thawed out).
