Generally an adult should be around 80 beats per min. BUT a child's would be faster.
Age/ fitness/ activity and health all contribute to the rate.
e.g. A very healthy, fit person, even while actually exercising (not aerobics) could have an average rate i.e. around 80.
An unfit, elderly or sick person's pulse would become more rapid much more quickly during exercise or exertion, and is more likely to be dangerous.

The standard is around 60 beats per minute when you're resting. If you are exercising it will be higher, 100-120 beats a minute

That depends how good shape you are in. Athletes usually when in relax position can register around 45 beats per minute. A normal person is around 65. Someone out of shape around 90.

heart of a person beats in respect with several factors like climate, physical activity, nature of daily activity--profession, age and ailment.
keeping these in mind anything between 60 to 110 is okay. in some heart beats very fast at rest without doing any physical activity, which we call palpitation, now that is unusual and requires cardiologist's opinion.
