Hey guys
any help is good help!!
i am a trainy music teacher and i need to make a 6 week lesson plan on xmas carols for a year 7 class,

however i have completed the plan but i have managed to fit 6 weeks worth of lessons into only 2 weeks worth of classes so im 4weeks sort of what to do.

I want the class to understand xmas songs, struture, musical elements, etc and have decided that for the first 2 weeks the will sing and compose a xmas song in groups and i will also go through music elements with them
but this activity will only take two lessons to cover which is where you guys come in.

What else can i plan for the further four weeks of teaching the xmas carol songs?, please help im going to be teaching them this info after half term break which is in 2weeks time.

I am a dance teacher. My idea would be to teach them about the
"Nutcracker". It is Classical Christmas Music, Classical Ballet, and A Classical Story. I hope that I helped you out. Good Luck.

I ran a music school for many years.
You have asked fore answers to music classes you have a plan but do not say weather or not it is singing or instrumental,or is it just writing lyric. To be able to help you we need to know more
You say they will sing and compose so what are you going to teach. Have you taken in to account that children can only concentrate for as little as 10 minutes at a time. you have to get them to hear, see, do and revise in every lesson. and always leave them with what their want to learn and wanting more.
