Wow that is unusual most Appys have great feet.
It is one of the great traits they carry good hard feet.
If you are giving a suppliment and shoes that is about the best you can do.
I would go to a barefoot trim if you can. If he is wearing off hoof to fast a barefoot trim will not work but if the problems is more chips and such it would help.
You might try feeding a different suppliment like one that contains fa few more things than just the biotin. Maybe Farriers Formula or one of those.
I have mine done in a barefoot trim and only use a hoof oil wehn it is very dry here. They do ok but I still get a few chips so I file them if thye need it.
Good luck.

White hooves are softer than black ones and therefore require more maintenance. You can try either going with the barefoot trimming which works wonders on hooves.... or you can also try a supplement that you can get at most feed sotres or tractor supply called shoer's secret. They also have other products like this... it is just minerals and vitamins that strengthen the hoof. The only draw back (if you can call it that) is that the hoof will grow faster, and therefore need to be trimmed more often.... Good Luck!

Farrier's Formula-- the BEST supplement for great feet! It's made by Life Data Labs. Seriously, it's the best by far!
Also-- lay off the hoof gunk.... hoof grease just makes them softer!
You may want to try a product called Tuff Stuff, it strengthens the hoof wall, and also can be used as a beneficial show polish. Stay away from "hoof polish" and other sealers...hooves need to BREATHE!!

Since when do dogs have hooves???? LOL- any way- sounds like something in the diet is lacking- sealing the hooves may help or a bare hoof trim- hopefully there is not an underlying disease or absorption problem in the gut- any other problems that may indicate that??? Ask the vet to be sure-D

you might want to try a hoof hardener like keratex or crossapol to strengthen his hoofs and maybe see if your local feel company carries Woody's Hoof Conditioner it is one of the best products on the market..I work at an equine supply store and we have a lot of our customers using it and i have seen fabulous results. I do believe you can contact the company and order it from them.. If not contact the nearest Woody's Feed Dealer

Well white hooves always are more difficult to maintain then black hooves. You are doing all the right things. Consider trying hoof polish to seal hoof

Try barefoot hoof trimming.
Ever since I went to that method, no more cracks or chips on hooves.
