Open the Distributor Cap, and you will see the points, leave the Wires in the Cap when you take it off- A small set screw holds them in place, you will also see a small capacitor ,replace that too- then you must set the gap- on the points- according to Specs- if no Specs, use a dime- been a long time, but those are the basics. Should replace the Distributor cap as well, and the Rotor.

You can buy electronic points that fit inside your distributor cap and is very easy to install to take the place of your points... They run about 90.00 bucks and can be found at any good on-line parts store like summit or jegs..

the points are located under the distributor cap and they are usually best to replace they are set in by very small screws and a wire remove the screws disconect the wire and repeat the process in reverse to install hope it helps reaper out.......
