Why exactly are you doing research on the history of bone...i dont know that you will be able to find much to write a paper or whatever unless you dive into the anatomical features of bone. But if it helps, most structures,....chemicals...are named after the person who found them or because of their appearance which makes them similar to an already named structure.

yes bone meal is added to the porcelin in order to make the china thinner and more durable. If you have high quality bone china plate and hold it up to the light you should be able to see light through it (not opaque) for more info go to the attached link You know you can do a little research yourself through google, wikipedia and the good old encyclopedia. bone was actually named bone coz it a bone...n luks almost like a bone...so dey had no other way to name it as a bone...
