Edgefield has a Federal Prison there, nice community, nice hunting area, close to mountains, lakes, and about 3 hours to beach. The last I knew there were no big shopping malls in that town, Anderson, S.C. is close for shopping, but it is very beautiful country.

Their most famous resident was Strom Thurmond. The town is home to Strom Thurmond High School. That's all I got.
