I find it absolutly appalling that Archeologists are allowed to dig up the remains ( desicrate ) of Celtic burials and destroy the peace that that person has had for 2000-3000 years. To then bag the bits of bone up and but it in a box on a shelf or worse still to start disolving parts to see how old they are.

All burial's People have no respect for the dead these days, And why when they have dug one up why do they need to dug up more the same sort of stuff is in each one. And why dont they when they have smashed everything to pieces replace the bones and cover them up with the items they were buried with.

To me it is grave robbing!!!

well, that's the way archeology works. just like they opened the pyramids and the tombs in the valley of the kings.

the truth is that while, the method is not nice, it's a good way to find out more about the celts. just like leonardo da vinci was not nice to dead bodies but because of him and others like him now we know more of illnesses and how to cure them.

and in the end they are dead people. yes, it's not nice, but the we might improve our knowledge without hurting alive people.

Sir, they are in peace far away from here. We learn from such digs. If I am wrong, then they may fall fast into a Celtic spell. How would we have learned that they even existed, how about the dinosaurs? Please, with all due respect, allow the evolutionary
process to take place, for the sake of someday, maybe finding cures to our world's problems. This is how we begin.
God bless us all...

We gain so much knowledge by studying the remains of the past, history and hindsight, what we thought we knew,is proven or disproved, would you rather have your aunt wendys remains removed or built over under tesco or asda.
how did we find out about dinosaurs, celtic rituals, the iron, bronze age if not by digging up the past. and archeology is not just about digging up bones. to get to your destination you have to be aware of where you came from. LF

How do you suggest then that we find out about the lifestyles of these people without archeology? There's a distinct lack of information on this time period and any archaeological findings are crucial to our understanding of ancient civilization. Do you suggest we remain ignorant?

I agree with you. Archaeologists are grave robbers and opportunists and what they did to the Egyptian mummies is terrible. They fared worst of all. You would go to jail if you dug up old graves like that.

No, its referred to as 'Investigative Archaeology'. We learn from our previous. to boot, im specific the citizens do no longer ideas, there with Thor, or whoever the hell Pagans worship. once you call Archeology 'Desecration', you style of provide the pastime away.
