Do artists at disney make a lot of money? If so, are they 3d or 2d animators? Please help, my future as an artist is at stake with my indecisions.

animation is going digital...how are your tech skills?

Call Disney and ask them. I am serious, tell them you are thinking of becoming an animator, could you talk to their animation department. I know it sounds strange, but most businesses won't mind answering a few sincere questions about the work they do. When you get to college you could see if you could get an internship with them. Good luck!

I know an animator who is working for Disney to the tune of 700 dollars a day. His job is to oversee all of the production on major movies. He started out as a computer IT degree, and wasn't so great at it. Then he learned animation and worked his way up. I think that today, it is more important your skill rather than your degree, especially if it has to do with artistic expression. Good luck.

I think you should give it a go. you will never know unless you try. If for some reason you are not picked, you will find out what it is they want in there animators and get ready, and let them know "I'll be Back" Good Luck
