So as to protect the roof of the car from being damaged by the helmet in case of a dash!!

Because he is wearing the seat belt -- attached to the car just like being inside a big helmet.
Also race car drivers do wear helmets.

helmets will obstruct the drivers vision, and actually cause more accidents!
drivers wear seatbelts, and are actually kinda inside a big helmet...the car

because they do not drive two wheelers, and car drivers did not required to bear helmet, moreover if orders are issued to bear the helmet to car drivers also they can bear helmets.

well 1 because the look silly, 2 becuase they restrict your view and your hearing and 3 because in the event of an accident the weight actually adds to the heads inertia so they can infact increase the risk of brain damage. So no need for them when u are inside your steel box

They do not really get grievously injured in their head in a car accident. More often than not, their chest get injured in a collision and the steering wheel will be cause of their fatallity.
