i know what you mean. i don't understand buying a $50,000 caddy SUV just to drive it to the mall during the sunny summer days. some sort of status symbol i guess. me and my nissan pickup go fishing, camping, garage saleing, takes me to the ballet. i do regular maintenance and clean it once a week. works for me

Okay you have to know that the automobile is an American Icon. It represents what is great about us. Hundreds of thousands of people design and build these things over the years, and you have to admit, every now and then a car trips your trigger, catches your eye, you can't stop looking at it, maybe you go to the dealership and look into it closer, find out the specs or whatever. Me, I love body curves and options. My husband is in love with the 58 GMC stepside pickup. When he was a kid, his neighbor had one, and he LOVES the twin headlights. Okay yeah, I'm on the polished and loved and admired side of the car concept. We live rurally, and cannot be without a car. PS-we keep our Harley Davidson motorcycle in our bedroom. Beat that.
