Apart from blocking the sim card ,what other ways/method can one use to make it useless from being used by the thief? I am using Nokia,, and I've wanted to register it, but it seems as if the facility for registering our handset is not in Nokia's program.I have gone to their website to check.

(2) After distroying it from the hand of the thief, can it be repaired or recovered ?

(3)Is there any software that one can use to send signal to the thief--if it happens that i do not want to distroy/deactivate it from working--(a)to warn the thief(b)to return it to a particular address or another phone number...if so,where and how do i download them?

1)if you memorize the phone EMEI number which can be obtain by key-in *#06# you can contact Nokia to disable the phone (please make a police report) and about the sim card your network provider can track them out but usually the thief is already know about it so they won't activate your sim card.

2) nope, it will be total useless to the theft (for record stolen phone never been recovered)

3) currently no software available in the market that use to do so.

Have both your SIM card and handset deactivated. For your SIM card, all you have to do is give the number to the service provider for deactivation. For the handset, it has a serial number called IMEI number which uniquely identifies it and which you can give to the mobile provider for deactivation. It's usually on the warranty card, official receipt or the box/case of the cellphone. That way, though you may never get the handset back, at least the thief won't be able to use it so his stealing efforts are rendered useless (serves him right).

First thing call up your service provider and ask them to discontinue the service... Using mobile triangulation the service providers can track where the phone is but if some1 has taken it he\she will surely switch it off making it impossible to track em

.. you may have to go to the police station and fill up some missing stuff forms and with that you can apply for a new SIM card.
but honestly let me tell you u wont get your handset back if some1 has stolen it

If you know the EMEI number of your handset, you can give to some service providers and they can disable your handset for good. (your handset, not sim card)

That is, if you have that number with you...check on your warranty card, theres a chance it might be there.

In Malaysia, there are no longer any telco that provides cell telephone plans that comprise a telephone to apply. for this reason, all cellular telephones are purchase outright. because of this, I reckon there is not any distinction in what telephone you have because of the fact it certainly relies upon on your funds. In Australia, cellular telephones are virtually loose, as we merely pay for the month-to-month plans. for this reason there are somewhat some ideas. yet in Malaysia, there is one element I desire Australia have, is the distinctive loose wireless warm spots! each cafe, eating place, shops, etc provides loose wireless information superhighway get right of entry to. So, get a cell telephone that have WLAN useful aspects and you may on line in any respect circumstances! playstation : i'm utilising N95 8GB, and it fairly is a dazzling gadget for records superhighway surfing. N96 16GB would be out in October 2008!
