Try Argos they have some very cheap ones!

But the cheaper the MP3 or Ipod the less you can get on them!
If you want one that is going to hold loads in it's memory then you are going to have to buy a more expensive one!

You can't expect to buy a cheap one and expect it to hold as much as a more expensive one now can you?

You either want one that is going to hold loads of albums, so you are going to have to pay more for it!
Or you want a cheap one that won't hold as much!

Sorry but you can't have the best of both worlds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

agree for the cheap MP3 players look to the supermarkets, or possibly currys

one thing I would suggest is put aside around £15..25 for a decent pair of headphones, seems a lot, but decent headphones make a huge difference... cant fault the sony Fontopia, although there are good offerings from other companies. I find using hte fontopia headphones I can listen at reduced volume (extends battery life recues the noise pollution to neighbours, and far more importantly reduced risk of damage to your hearing

as regards storage look for one that has either a large memory (multi gigabyte (Gb), or hard disc players, or ones with an exchangeable memory card). hard disc players need tobe treated with respect youcan damage the disk through rough handling, or if its an apple seemingly you can damage the whole player). allmemroy devoces seem a great option to me, virtually indestrcutable, require little power, the exchangeable memory palyers even better (you can store your music on camera memory cards and have as many as you like).

If you are prepared to buy from the web try advanced mp3 players, they seem to have some incredibly cheap deals. I bought through them and have had no problems, the player was delivered the following day, and did precisely what they said it would do.

storage capacity is up to you, but as a rough guess you can store around a minute of music in about a kiobyte of memory so a 512mb player will hold approximate 500 minutes of music, say around 10..15 albums, 1gb player will hold around 1000 minutes say 20..30 albums

if you do buy an MP3 player, and its your first one then consider buying one which has software to convert music to MP3 format (to transfer you exisitng CD's to MP3. you can download such programs form the net, but if its your first player then consider getting one with a means of 'ripping' to MP3.

Personally Id steer clear of download services and make sure back up the MP3's, store on several devices at the same time
and stick to standard MP3 format, rahter than WMA, AAC or OGG, Id avoid anythign that uses digital rights management software (DRM) to limit what you can play your music on..

btw just looked on the advanced MP3 player site and they seem tohave a couple of memory card players for arount 15..20, but you will need to buy SD memory which cooast around £12 per gigabyte.

attempt Argos they have some very inexpensive ones! notwithstanding the better fee-useful the MP3 or Ipod the fewer you may get on them! in case you pass with one that is going to hold lots in it quite is memory then you definately genuinely will could prefer to purchase a greater robust severe priced one! you may no longer assume to purchase a inexpensive one and assume it to hold as much as a greater robust severe priced one now are you able to? You the two opt for one that is going to hold an astonishing form of albums, so which you will could prefer to pay better for it! or you pass with a inexpensive one that may no longer carry as lots! Sorry yet you may no longer have the astonishing of the two worlds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
