My current job is so bad, I am thinking of not handing in my notice, just going when I get offered a new job. My Contract has my old address on the front of it, as my boss said it was not worth putting my new address on it and re-printing it. Does this mean my Contract is void or does it not matter?

contract is valid so walking out is a
BAD IDEA!
think of No 1 - YOU need a reference and you won't get one if you just walk out. Gonna look bad in next job
BUT
if you hate it then do leave, giving proper notice. Nothing worse than simply existing for the sake of the wage
Good luck

Your contract id not void. But hand in your notice and leave straight away. What are they gonna do? You've already been offered another job. Ha ha, f*ck 'em xx.

I don't u need to bother so much about your contract, just secure yourself that new job that will make use of your abilities and move on. But before you leave make sure u have sorted out all oustanding issues with them including any commitment u should carry out and their obligations to you.

The contract would still be valid as it's personal to you, not an address.

no your old contract isnt void - but if you leave, what are they actually going to do about it? They're not going to bother taking you to court.

the only thing they can feasibly do is withhold your pay - so make sure you leave when you've just got paid

The only important thing to remember any new employer may want a reference from your old company so you should always try to leave on good terms

Sounds like a crap company, we have to update all personal details if they change. Leave and go somewhere decent.
