i think it would have to be a best of three.
give the shark lungs and legs. see the outcome.
then give the tiger gills and fins. see the outcome.
then as a neutral test give them both wings.

only then will you truly know the answer to this.

i think the shark would win the water test. tiger wins the land test. then the shark would win the air test- more hydro-dynamic so more aerodynamic as well.

my money is on the shark.

Well almost everyone seems to have answered your question. The only thing they missed was this: If a Shark made it on land with legs of any kind and it fell over on it's back, then it would die. In water if Sharks are at all on their backs for a long period of time they will die. Same with any other fish, whales, sea mammals without legs. I guess it depends on who gets to lunge and bite first.
P.S: Sharks also have alot of the protective blubber, so even if a tiger tried to bite the shark it would be like biting the rubber of of your boots or shoes.

I dont think the shark would beat the tiger even if it had legs, because while they both have sharp teeth, the tiger's mouth is engineered to bite land animals while the sharks teeth are engineered to bite swimming animals.

Also, the tiger has claws and the shark doesn't so it would have an advantage

i dont think so. a shark with legs out of water, would be like an elephant cos it is big. the tiger is more nimble, and would run around the shark. shark would then fall and tiger would win

How about the tiger wearing scuba gear and going after the shark on his own turf? Sorry, I forgot! Kitties don't like water!

That would depend on what type of legs dont you think. If it had human legs, well, no way but i think if it had bear legs then maybe. Nature usually balances things out, so the perfect hunter in water could really suck on land.

Now what if an orca whale had elephant legs, ooooo the horror. Nothing except people would be safe. Thank God for Momma nature with her sensible preditor placement.

the tiger would win, because the shark is to long, because the tiger would be faster all it would need to do is keep attacking the rear, keaping away from the sharks mouth wearing it down.

no as the shark will not be as agile on land as a tiger, nor will its body be able to cope with the extreme conditions a tiger is in nor will it be able to see the tiger, so i think the tiger will have it with chips and a dollop of Helman's light

then tiger would have fins and breathe in water. but shark could win as his teeths are much sharper then of tiger
