Mostly it the dogs that get run over ! Other animals manage to escape most times. It is really a mystery that dog lacks the instinct to jump 'away' from a speeding vehicle....
Very few drivers can really do anything about a dog that comes in the way. And if it is a two wheeler, then the rider too runs into a great risk, with a stray dog across the way !

Awe doesn't that suck? No you can only blame the people that owner, which if he loved that dog is probably unaware and going crazy looking. Its hard to stop to see what happened to any animal you hit when you are on an expressway. We all know that but if I hit it I would find a way to go back and try to help or at least take him of the road and see for a tag to let the owner know

Plus Oh I Can't say any more I'm to upset

NO the dog as no right to be on the highway the owner of the animal could be prosecuted for allowing an animal to stray, or not being leashed whilst on a highway. LF

One dark Sunday morning I was on my way to work in my car and a man was walking his dog(Labradore) suddenly the dog ran in front of me.We picked the dog up and I ran them home then carried on to work. Here in the UK by law you have to inform the police.A police officer came to see me and left his number saying that he had told the dog owner that he was responsible for any damage to my car.The dog owner had to pay the repaire bill £500 and his vets bills another £500,Bit of an expensive lesson on keeping your dog on a lead(Dog was OK but needed stitching but after that was fine).
