The pen maybe mightier than the sword, but you can't get much mightier than the pencil. Pencils draw more pictures, and more pictures tell more words.

Depends really on the script in hand........the saying "horses for courses " comes to mind !!! I don't necessarily think one is better than the other. I certainly would do my Seduko puzzle in pencil !!! I am not good enough to use a biro..........I need to correct my errors. But I would you write a personal letter/ report, official document etc. in pencil? I would go and buy a biro/pen do write that letter etc. , if I had only a pencil...............In many ways a biro is more permanent, a pencil temporary (and subject to unauthorised tempering)
Another good saying comes to mind : we all should have rubbers on the end of our pencils......to stop any mistakes occurring !!!!

A Pencil is better than a Biro, because earwax sticks to a pencil better when clearing ones earhole out.
I hope this is a help to some, and indeed an inspiration to you all.
The discovery of pencils is just the start - there's a whole world out there to be discovered!

It depends on the application.
In some cases I prefer a biro, but for others I prefer a pencil.

On average, pencils cost like a fifth of what pens do.

You can rub out your mistakes and chew a pencil without getting a mouth full of ink.
