If you watch animated movies, it seems to be more for the adult audience when you listen to the dialogue. Do you think they should keep it that way?

i think they make them for both as in shrek when he says i have to find my *** children think its about the donkey but we know it means that and it means his *** in the other sense and also in shark tale when lenny is dressed as the dolphin children think its funny but to ud its clearly a way to make him gay.

Hmm well depends. It kind of exposes them to an adult environment so that they just don't get shocked over something... I mean it might be a little hard to explain some of that to little kids so seeing and hearing it would be good for their experience. Some of it might be a little too much though. Like that nice little armadillo thing in the beginning of El Dorado. What's with that? It's so random!

But yeah, parents have to sit through the movie with the kids and they're the ones buying it so that keeps both parties happy.

i have a 38 year old wife two daughters 13 and 11 a two year old son and i am 28. you find that if a group like sit and watch an animated film my wife and laugh at completely different things to the children. this is why animation is so great i think the first notable animation made on multiple levels of humour and entertainment was the simpsons and that is the r4eason for its success. love it or hate it you can't help laugh at it.

I like them the way they are.... Kids watch mainly for the sake of watching... Adults listen to the dialogue too, guess Disney knows his stuff

I think they should keep them that way because they reach people of all ages at different levels. My children would watch animated films and totally enjoy them and as they watched them as they got older they began to appreciate the adult humour and was therefore watchable again.

not all the dialogue is aimed at the adults, but when you hear an 'adult' joke and the kids laugh, i find it hilarious so i think they should keep the 'adult dialogue' in the films :)

It's funny, my sister watched some film at the cinema with her boyfriend and was laughing at all the adult humour, and the kids were looking round at her wondering what was wrong with her.
They don't notice, so why bother changing it.

Yes because kids love them for the characters and also adults love the way they slip in the adult humour occassionally. I rule keep it the way it is.

Some are, some aren't but most are these days! I think its not a bad thing. so many of us parents get dragged to movies and its a nice surprise to have a little humour in it for us that the kiddies don't get!

Yeah, that way the whole family can enjoy the movie together.
