If asked, yes I guess it would be a good idea to tell the truth, however...what the purpose of even talking about it? It is the past, you cannot change it and sometimes it just creates problems. I think I would address the situation if asked about my past as "What difference does it make today?"

I really do, because you want your new lover to know where you are coming from. You don't have to give intricate details, but you can let him no your likes and dislikes and possible inform him of why your X's are X's.. I think that sets the terms and condition of your new relationship, and if they can't handle it then it wasn't meant for the two of you to be together anyway.

No way!!!! He fell in love with you now and every person in your past ,lover or friend has had some influence in the final picture, and it is you today he fell in love with and if he insists on knowing your past get rid of him he is a nut,

of course it is, bec if you tell him everything and he love you more than you could imagine he will accept you as a whole no matter what your past is, and if you find that kind of person don't let him go for he could love you then a 100 men could do!
