Yes.
I thought I saw my ex at Makinos, a sushi restaurant.
I was thinking ,what could be the odds of that.
I live in Nevada, and he is assumingly in Cali.
No way he would cross paths with me here.
I kept eyeing him for a good 15 minutes, thinking to myself if I would ever say anything to him, even a simple hi- if it were really him.
I did kind of wish it were him, because I missed him when I thought the stranger was him.

But I WAS MISTAKEN. The thought was good while it lasted.

Ive mistaken a real person for a mannequin when I was 8 years old. This real person's hair was so long and beautiful and I touched it. I was standing behind it. It was sitting in a chair and I thought it was a mannequin. The lady turned her head and scared the daylights out of me! It was funny.

Yep, in high school. I came into the quad and there was a long haired girl peering over the balcony w/ her back to me, I thought it was my friend Rosa, so I whacked her on top of the head w/ my note book. She turned around w/ her hand on her head saying "ouch", much to my embarrassment it was NOT Rosa. I said I was sorry and took off, giggling the whole way.

Not in a long time, now that you mention it. But, I do believe it has. I have a common face, so people have mistaken me for someone else.

Years ago I used to tease my wife at times by walking up behind her in a store or wherever, and grab her ***. It was kinda like a private joke with us. You can see where this is going, I bet. Yup...I saw my 'wife' from the back.....same coat, same size, she sure looked like her from my angle, and I proceeded to walk up behind her and grab a handful of some other woman's ***. I was absolutely embarrassed, but thankfully she was very understanding when I stammered through my explanation.. When I told my wife what had happened, she thought it was hilarious. I guess it was!

Yes, it was really embarrassing! At least I can laugh about it now though!

I was at a bus station, and I saw a couple who looked just like a couple I know. I ran over to the girl shouting her name and saying "I haven't seen you in AGES" and she just said "Who are you?" - there were loads of people watching too... Cringe!

;-)

In the business I'm in, oh' yes. Even as a kid, I remember doing this silly thing. I remember people around me laughing at it,allot. At least I got a laugh out of it. That's all you should really do, laugh it off, cause later, when you think about it, you will.
God bless us all...

a few times, there was a girl sitting in front of me once at the cinema, from the side she looked exactly like an old friend of mine, I was going to go and say hello, but when she turned around it was so obvious that it was not her, I was embarrassed and I had not even said anything!
