well..never heard of a phillips marathon vacuum....isnt that science? blah. but if you are talkin about a vacuum cleaner, honestly, a kenmore upright works best. if you want the same thing but for more $$$, try the hoover windtunnel. thats pretty awesome. stay away from bagless. seriously. it's more expensive in the long run and it's messy.

no bissel
no dirt devil
no hoover (regular)
anything below 12 amps? RUN AWAY!

Bissell. $34.oo @ Walmart. All I can say is my vacuum sucks!
