When do you get goosebumps?

I have them right now considering it's bloody cold in my city at night.

I also get them when i'm extremely happy, when i get shy, when i get a bad feeling about somebody or something, when i'm walking alone at night, etc.. etc... etc...

Most often when someone tells me a touching story...I'm a sucker for those. Or something 'chilling' in the sense that it's odd or out of the ordinary, strange coincidences, etc.

sometimes in the very dark I get goosebumps. It could be fear of what I don't know, maybe a ghost or a spirit of the night

Its homeostasis, it helps turn your body back into normal stable conditions. When your body is cold it causes goosebumps to make you shiver to stay warm, when your hot it opens up sweat glands to cool you off.

I get them every time I watch a good, touching love scene in a chick flick.
