Of these major organelles:
Chloroplasts
Nucleus
Mitochondrion
to their function?
can someone give me some help with this please? Thanks.

I understand about some things that they do, I just have a problem with relating the structure and function. The question was a bit vague and my tutor says it's clear. Maybe im just dumb lol

You doing AS Level Biology? We got that question too last year.
Basically you need to put what the different organelles contain e.g. double membrane, fluid matrix etc
then say what each particular feature is used for
e.g. stores lipids etc
then say why this is useful to the organelle
e.g. it stores lipids because it needs them to carry out it's functions.
And so you have related their structure to their function. It sounds complicated at first but you just need to break it down like that and its no trouble. Good luck!

if you mean what do they do then i can answer:
chloroplasts are only in plant cells and they are the organelles that makes a plant look green. therefore they are the organelles that photosynthesise and help create food for the plant.
in any cell, the nucleus is the most obvious organalle. Within the nucleus is the DNA responsible for providing the cell with its unique characteristics. The DNA is similar in every cell of the body, but depending on the specific cell type, some genes may be turned on or off - that's why a liver cell is different from a muscle cell, and a muscle cell is different from a fat cell.
The mitochondrion break down glucose and produce atp (adenosine tri-phosphate). they also create energy for the cell.
i think thats all correct. i hope it is because we've been studying this stuff in biology class and if it's wrong then i've seriously failed my test. :-s

OK some hints:
Write down the different structural attributes of each, and where about in the organelle different reactions take place.
Think about the membrane shapes and characteristics. Write about Cristae for the mitochondria, thylakoids for the chloroplasts and nuclear pores for the nucleus.
Also think about surface area and packaging.
You don't say what level you are so I'm not sure how much detail you need to go into but looking at these points should get you started.

Simply put :
Nucleus is where most of the DNA of a cell is kept, is the control centre of the cell.
Mitochondria are the "energy centres" of animal cells, they have their own DNA and are reproduced separately to the nucleus when the cell is duplicated.
Chloroplasts are the plant cell equivalent of mitochondria, where photosynthesis occurs. I believe they also have there own genetic material, separate to the nucleus.
Hope this helps as a start

relation in structure = all of them has double membrane
relation in function= to produce protein, enzyme or other product since all of them contain DNA.some enzymes synthesize from nucleus are transport to mitochondrion and chloroplast to used in metabolisme.

the nucleus is the control center. think of mitochondria as the cell's "power house" they provide the energy needed for cellular processes.

cloroplast= contains clorophil (a green substant) in plants
nucleus= controls the cell activity
mitocondrion= creates energy thru generating it from glucous.
