so you come in from work, walk up to her, give her a hug, kiss her real passionately and tell her 'baby, your my baby and I love you so much'. Fix her a glass of juice and then walk into the room and shout 'can I fix your bath?'.
Why does she put that weird look on her face, stare down at you like you've just stolen some cookies, and then say 'okay, honey, what have you done this time?'.

Because you don't do it often enough, and you do that so rarely that she is thinking
#1. He is wanting to make love tonight. Being nice so....
#2. He has done something, what is it?
#3 He is losing his mind. He never treats me so nice.
Then she eliminates #l and #3 and settles for #2.

You should have asked her to call her family or another friend instead of suggesting a homeless shelter. Can you imagine how you would feel if you and your kids had no where to go, especially right before the holidays? If you trust your husband, then this would not be a big issue. Set ground rules for the mom and kids so it won't be so stressful. So the kids tear up the house a little bit. What's more important, a messy house or helping another human being? The mom might just be upset about just getting kicked out of her home. I say treat others as you would want to be treated. Maybe you should become friends with this woman, too.

Because if it's things you don't do on a regular basis, then dammit you are guilty of something, or you are contemplating doing something you don't have any business doing.. I'm just keeping it real..It's either a trip to Home Depot for a man toy, a night out with the fellas , or an evening with some broad you just met !!!

maybe..she did not expect you to be soo into her? maybe she thinks thats your going to tell her something that would upset her and before she could lash out to you, you are trying to cover up the entire thing by taking care of her needs more than ever?

maybe it is because you are doing that so rarely that she is in shock.
Try being nice and loving on a consistant basis. You will live happy ever after

Well, anything that u do out of the "norm" might make your wife suspicious, especially if this is not how u normally behave.

well if she's not use to getting that kind of treatment from you..... she would really think you're covering up for something... Anything out of the ordinary will provoke suspicion.

Well, if she says "what have you done this time" you might have a bad track record.
