It is simple my dear; most men are threatened by women in general. Give a woman self-conciousness and the ability to think for herself as well as logic and emotional blanace, and you have what most males of the human species fear the most; an independant woman!
For ages men were able to keep "control" over women, keeping them passive and dependant on their men, much in the way organised religions exert control over the believers through manipulation, fear, and guilt.
Most men won't admit they are intimidated by an intelligent woman, in fact they'll applaude them and even try to play in the game of the understanding male mate. But the truth is that men have been brought up and educated as the "superior" sex (what a crock!) who are supposed to be above and beyond it all, in all circumstances. Over the last decades, women's rights have exploded all over our society(ies) creating a sense of dis-equilibrum (unbalance) within the male psyche, more evidently in the older men, the older generations who still believe a woman's place is in the house to cook her her man, and that it is OK to slap (hit) your woman when she's "out of line".
These days things are looking brighter with the newer generations of males being taught that men and women are equal in all respects, and that any woman is capable on doing any man's job or work. Of course there's still a long way to go, because sexism is still rampant today, as well as a noticeable decrease in young women supposrting women's rights. I feel that the younger women seem more interested in satisfying their male mates than to stand up for themselves. At least, that's the impression I get when I see and hear young people's (couples) conversations.
I myself am married to what I would consider the strongest woman who lives today, second only to her departed mother, r.i.p. My wife is also incredibly too intelligent for her own good, as well as ver fearless and independant.

The reasoning for it quite is using the fact women are often very shallow and don't care approximately intelligence. even however to me intelligence is between the main serious features in a individual, many different women want seems and a severe income from men. Sorry yet, women are shallow.

Actually, I do like intelligent women. I never form relationships with women who are unintelligent because they don't like a lot of the same things I like
- good music
- a good book
- fine wine and nice food
- travel
etc.
and they are just boring.
However, I can understand that there are men out there who find intelligent women threatening or emasculating.
I guess it's about finding a balance.
I'm sure there are girls out there who wouldn't want to do anything with me because they think I'm boring :) just because they don't understand the things I like. *shrugs*

no intelligent person will think that he or she is intelligent enough to call herself intelligent. Intelligence is something that is felt and not spoken about. an intelligent woman is a rarity and when they are found, they make it a point that they are found to be intelligent, which shows how stupid they can be.

because the modern women chooses to hide her intelligence and act like they're dumb to get guys. I dont know why they think this works but nevertheless they do. Its as simple as this: smart men like smart women simply because they have been fashioned to appreciate intelligence, Dumb men like dumb women because they feel threatened by someone whos smarter than them. I'll tell you this though... guys will ALWAYS prefer girly girls to manly chicks (unless theyre gay or bi)

Not all men do. Some feel threathened being with a woman who doesn't fall for stupid ideas, they believe they'll cheat them or get the upper hand when matters arise. I like smart women.

Maybe some guys feel threatened. Today's society is pro-women while being anti-male. Just look at tv commercials to prove my point.
