It depends. Sometimes a couple of weeks, sometimes less specially if you are breastfeeding. Check with your Obstetrician.

Me personally with my son I only bleed for 2 and a half weeks but I lost alot of blood giving birth. and couldn't breastfeed as I would bleed more every feed and pass out during feeds.
With my second I bleed for just over 3 weeks but after 2 weeks it became much lighter. I breastfeed with my baby girl and everything seemed much easier.
You can bleed for up to 6 weeks but its not all that common but still very normal, mostly about a month but it all depends on your body. Hope everything goes well.

It all depends? I had my little girl 5 mos ago and after birth I bled for 2 weeks straight and then every 21 days after that started to get my period. It depends on if you are breastfeeding as well. And now prego again with fraternal twins 10 weeks make sue you use protection after birth cause you can get pregnant very easy after having a baby.

For my first baby, I bled for about six weeks very heavy. For my second, I had my tubes tied the next day and bearly bled at all. I jokingly asked my ob if she had maybe tied something up that wasn't supposed to be. When I had my first period afterwards, it was the worst I've ever had. I bled really really heavy for two weeks.
Bleeding after having a baby can be anywhere from four to six weeks sometimes a little longer. If you have any concerns you should talk to your doc.

Mostly somewhere between 4-6 weeks.I had bleeding for 4 weeks, but it depends and is never the same for all women. It generally starts tapering off by the third week and the books say that the disharge becomes whitish, though mine never did.But if you do have excessive bleeding and weakness, consult your GYN.

I bled for the three weeks that I breastfed, once I stoppped breastfeeding so did the bleeding. I had a friend who did not breastfeed at all & only bled for a week & another who breastfed for a year & bled for a couple of months so I do believe it has alot to do with breastfeeding.

Hi, it has been three weeks since I gave birth naturally and i'm still bleeding, apparently it goes brown then goes white, then soon after we'll get our period. I have a relative who had cecerian, had her period for two weeks a week break then again for three weeks and kept on in that pattern(but that's just a period)

it depends on your body people can be different for some people it just lasts for a week plus for others it could take weeks. It varies in everybody. If you dont bleed heavy or have any pain then i dont think you should worry. If you are not ok with the way it is then see a doctor.
