Just depends if you are usually regular or not. Is there anything that you know of that has affected your periods in the past, or now perhaps due to age? You will have to consult a doctor, as he can do an exam and know right away if you are or are not pregnant. If you are not, then he might want to do a small surgery to clean out the uterus. You should have a pap smear and find out if anything is going on there too in the way of irregularity in your cells.

You did not give a lot of details but this is what i think...
I believe you tested too early.
Remember, home pregnancy tests are looking for a certain level of hcg ,( pregnancy hormone) in your urine. You might not have enough of it yet. Most pregnancy test are looking for 20 to 50mIU/ml depending on the test.
Even by week 5 you may not have enough hcg to be detected.
I have attached a link that helped me understand why my home pregnancy tests kept coming up negative though I KNEW I was pregnant!
By week 6 it is when for sure your levels will be high enough.
Blood tests are rather accurate by week 4 and 5.
If by week 6 you still get a negative test and still no period I would go see your family doctor.
Good Luck! I hope this information helps you.

Is your body fat below 14%? This will stop your period. Many body builders and anorexic women have this problem. Body fat is a ratio so you can be skinny and OK. How old are you? if you are approaching Menopause guess what? But that's all I can think of.

well first that depends on if you are late starting your period or not. The Doc told me that you should be atleast 6wks late before you even go to get a test.

Depending on your age it might be menopause. Go see a doctor to find out. They can find out alot by a blood test.

maybe you tested too early, at least give it a week after your expected period date before testing. thats what I did, and it turned out positive=). we get period delays due to hormonal changes, stress etc, unless you have irregular periods.
