It means that you don't suffer fools, and that you probably prefer your own company over that of others.

Simply Put u have ur own judging mind which knows who are good people and who r bad people FOR U...and I say it's best to stick to those who u r comfortable with coz when u just go out of ur way to tolerate someone just for the heck of pleasing ur family members it's no good u shud b happy, feel good and enjoy the company of the people u can b with.

Just plain adjusting for the heck of it doesn't go well in maintaining good relationships.

When u make friends ur mind and heart send out some signal to u, and ur face then gives out the way u feel bout them, u instantly bond with them or u instantly dislike it's a natural thing we all have different personalities and different traits it's hard to like each and everyone u meet infact it's downright impossible.

Many times even u mite have experienced that some people when they look at u have a weird expression on their face if they don't like u, their face will go all the way blank or contort in irritation or straight way try ignoring u altogether, but if someone likes u they will have some good expression in their eyes saying many things. U will eventually end up getting a smile or maybe they even wud try talking to u.

U can just plain try being formal to the people u don't like maybe just a word here or there if u don't want to hurt them just paste up a mere smile and make an effort to talk but still if u feel u can't bear them then try to cut off in a nice way and avoid further contact...It's no good pretending for a very long time coz eventually u'd b irritated and when they get to know u don't like them they wud b hurt so better avoid dicey situations all together.

If at all anyone asks u why u can't tolerate their company u can simply say " I am a person with different personality then u maybe we don't have anything in common and so I hope u may please excuse me ".

Those who can't tolerate fools or people who are over bearing or trying to command u these people will always give u problems and u will most definately have a very low tolerance.

Maybe u r a strong dominating person urself and u don't like anybody else's opinion or simply u don't agree to the people u come across but before judging anyone make sure u are 100% right in the first place and only then comment.

Basically I have been hurt by people so many times in the past, that I refuse to expose myself to that much hurt again and have completely withdrawn. I love my home and if I have to go out, when I get back I am in there so fast, it's like a rabbit darting back to it's hole. To keep the metaphors going, I sort of, pull up the drawbridge. However, I am happy with the company of my pets, their love is unconditional, they are faithful and, apart from meals, are completely undemanding.
I get fed up with the way most people are so like sheep and just follow the flock and do/think/say/act like everybody else. This is the case more when it comes to town people. Country people are a bit more realistic.
I think the majority of people are uneducated and illiterate and on the odd occasions I find somebody with a brain, it is a joy to talk to them.
I am as close to becoming a recluse as is practical in these modern times.
I do have friends but not many, preferring quality to quantity.

Having a low tolerance means not showing respect for the others or prejudice or hostility.

Could mean you are becoming Pre-Agrophobic - like the LADYFROMD scooting back to the house and emersing herself in her pets!!! But as far as I am concerned there is nothing wrong with that as people in general are self absorbed, Rude and a pain in the **** . I work with the public and barring some very welcome exceptions they are not worth the worry, I am looking for a new job, let them get on with being nasty.

i think that it means you don't have time for certain types of people, e,g chavs , specific religions or cultures, pregnant teens etc. this is usually because you feel socially above them , or cannot fathom how they become as they are. basically it is that you are intolerant of anyone who does not fit into the same box as you, and you can see no worth in getting to know ,understand or accept them as individuals. not something i would like to list as one of my characteristics.

You don't like crowds, probably don't enjoy the superficial conversations that many people have with colleagues and strangers. Enjoy your own company, don't get excited about meeting new people. That sort of thing.
