I had done a water change and was putting her back in....she must of been out for about 4-5 seconds...she seemed okay when i got her in the tank at first but now she is headstanding...doesn't seem to be able to stay horizontal...if you tap the glass she seems to swim though.

You should have a lid on your tank. I had a fish that was standing on his head he stayed upside down for a couple weeks. Not sure why ,but he is fine now. I use to mess with fish tank all the time. changing things & cleaning it . I was loosing alot of fish too! I was told to leave it alone . Now I wacth them & all is well. I clean tank every 3 weeks . Fish are happy & growing every day. good luck.

Sorry that you haven't received a good answer yet and maybe mine won't be much better. I agree that you should never tap on the glass no matter how much you think you might need to in order to see if the fish are responding. It don't help them any and can only create more shock for their systems. The fish may yet be okay but from what I have seen most fish are very unpredictable and hard to tell what is going to happen. The only thing I can say is leave the fish alone for a few hours and see what happens. Some fish have a strong will to live while others fight for live daily. Usually the best thing we can do is nothing at all. The less a fish knows that you are there, the better it will be. Now, that doesn't mean you can't enjoy your fish and watch them and look at them it just means that you should interfere as less as possible.

I hope this helps and God Bless.

Sometimes they can survive this.

I worked at a fish store for two years and fish jumping out is a bit common.

One coworker told me of how he came in to work one morning to find a goldfish on the floor. It was dry and looked like it had laid there for a few hours.

He placed it in our water plant tank and it started swimming. It actually survived.

So give him time. He might make it.

If you have stress coat I would add some to his water.

Leave it alone and never tap on the glass. The sound is magnified and you can shock them.

I came home one day and ours had flipped out of the fish tank and had obviously been out for a few minutes. I put it back in and it was fine.

Coax her to bounce on the bench, then because of the fact the cat is approximately to bounce, improve your hand as once you're approximately to spank her, then say something like "undesirable cat". do this quite a few cases and the cat could desire to get the thought it quite is undesirable to bounce on the bench.
