I have to use the dictionary a lot....and sometimes things still go over my head..... :(

yes, sometimes people that I work with have to explain to me what "certain slang words " mean so that I don't repeat what I've read here on Y/A's to anyone else.

*least folks think I am a nasty ole lady
(what would I do without those youngsters)

There are three types of learning

some people learn by listening or hearing information being taught or on tape

Some people learn better when they are Doing something like an activity if you are an artistic or creative person try writing the new word down and find lots of other centences to use it in/ or you could make creative flash cards one side with the word the other with an explanation/ meaning. Make them colourful

listening and writing information down at the same time you could have someone or yourself record what you want to remember listen to it and take notes at the same time.

so the best thing for you to do is experiment with different ways of learning and find out what works best for you

I am my husbands dictionary. At least 10 times a day hes asking me the definition of a word or what some phrase means!! He makes me feel so smart!!
