Yes. I been in love with my husband for 5 1/2 yrs blinded by love before we got married. Now it's been 10yrs. There are alot of differences & the fact that you have to live in two seperate lives is an eye opener. You start to see things you never seen in the person. And they change on you over time and most times it gets worst. Yes it is an eye opener.

Love is Blind - In that infatuation stage we feel like we are in Nirvana and want to stay there forever and ever and love eachother with the attention we give and get. As far as the eye opener part - very true! I also love being married. I def. did think it would be different just because I had preconceived notions about what marriage would give me and what I wanted to be like. I think that both statements are true!

Love isn't blind, it is seeing the best and being the best you can be, marriage then isn't an eye-opener, its a commitment to that better part of you. The best things in life don't come easy.

No, I don't agree with this as this does not apply to everyone. There are some people who are smart enough to have both eyes open before and after marriage and don't have unrealistic expectations of what marriage is going to be like.

this is a great question. yes, i do agree... i believe that love is blind because you fall so far before you can even catch yourself and that marriage is an eye-opener because you really start to see your emotions, love, hate, basically to the extremes of what it was when you first fell in love..

yes yes yes......you got that right.
There would be less divorices if people didn't marry for the migiacl romantic illusions that they project on someone else.

It is much better to have your eyes wide opened when you walk down the isle. Best to be with someone that you don't HOPE will change or you think you can change.

Why do so many people have an expensive wedding only to divorice and hate each other?

Time to marry someone who is what we need and want.
A great book to read is called ARE YOU THE ONE FOR ME

When you are in love both party talk nice thing to each other thinking this should not be wrong in the way to marriage.after marriage you are on the ground of reality.Where a man does not like to be hurt ,other way woman does not want that she should obliged him every thing.which was not happened before marriage.so the birth of clashes took place. that is why marriage is an eye opener.
